Photography…Help Me

This is obvious. Bad photography, no sales. How do you set up good photography in your home? Great lighting for coffee klatches or drinking moments, but for great pix, not so much. Giving some thought to setting up a photo set. I have products so will require different parameters. Ugh! I don't live in an empty space so what can I do? ANY thoughts? Have lots of props.
