Little Dresses for Africa

I have more fabric than any normal person should have. When I was in AZ, a Hancock store closed and had an AMAZING sale. How could I resist? Naturally I am always looking for ways to use this fabric. As expensive as fabric is these days, I am not sorry I have a big stash. Of course, what I was going to make with each piece has changed several times in the last few years.

I learned about something a couple of weeks ago that I want to share with you. Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit Christian organization started by Rachel O'Neill in Brownstown, MI to provide hope to little girls in Africa by way of new dressses, to show them that they are worthy. Their motto~~"Changing lives one little dress at a time." You can download their pattern using a pillowcase or you can make your own out of any pattern you wish. They give you size ranges and a few bits of direction for submitting your dress. They will take little boys' shorts too! Mercy that takes 20 minutes.  I urge you to check them out! What a way to put that stash to good use!
